Team Work
Maureen Holliday is the Clinical Nurse Manager in charge of the Neurosurgical Unit. Maureen is supported by nursing staff who have special expertise and training in neurosurgery, and, as you would expect at Calvary, the focus is on you as a person, and you and your family's needs. Maureen and her staff are always keen to help you with any queries you may have regarding the facilities or your illness and can be contacted on 62785455.
There are also staff Hospital Medical Officers on-site 24 hours a day to be of immediate assistance.
Neurosurgery is a multi-disciplinary specialty, with neurosurgeons, neurologists, radiologists all contributing to the treatment of the nervous system. Additionally, specialist anaesthetists, psychiatrists and psychologists contribute to the specific pain management problems.
Completing this team work approach is the quality care provided by specially trained nurses. They are assisted in this by physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists and dietitians.
