When to contact us
Our staff are available 24 hours; please do not hesitate to call if you have any concerns or require advice. It is important to contact your Obstetrician if any of the following occur:
- Ruptured membranes, or continuous leakage of fluid
- Bright bleeding
- Regular contractions
- Premature labour
In any event, when you decide to come to hospital, please phone our Maternity and Women's Health Unit on 6278 5328.
If you are coming to hospital at night, the hospital's doors are locked for security reasons after 9.15 pm. Please press the bell at the front entrance (Augusta Road), or back entrance near the garden. You will be met by a staff member.
What to bring
You will need
- Nightwear, bras and pants
- Dressing gown and slippers
- Sanitary and nursing pads
- Toiletries
- Clothes for your baby to wear home
We also encourage you to bring casual clothes (i.e. t-shirts, front opening shirts, track pants) to wear during the day.
